My story is a funny one. 

I didn’t even realise I had trauma until I started my own wellness journey. I was so used to blocking, masking and numbing out pain that I’d tricked myself into believing everything was okay. Even the multiple emergency hospital trips, last minute surgery and significant teenage trauma didn’t register because I’d buried it so deeply. 

But I did know I wasn’t fully embracing and enjoying the positives in life. 

Through all those years of masking, the only place I found true peace was with horses. This might sound odd if you’re not an animal person, but horses are my heart and soul and being around them everyday saved me. They never judge and are acutely aware of emotional changes. 

They’ve shown me the best way to approach times of stress, overwhelm and anxiety; in a sensitive, intuitive and non-judgemental way.   

Being epileptic, learning to calm myself in times of stress is vitally important. 

I guess you could say, I got used to listening to my bodies warning signals, but I wasn’t listening to my whole self.  

Instead, I would devote myself to listening to others. I think that’s why I became a teacher.  

After working there for 5 years and being promoted to Assistant Head, I felt like I needed something more. Taking a leap of faith, I left teaching and set up my own business, Glamour Pooch.

Having only one month to turn a shell of a shop into a fully functioning boutique dog grooming salon, I was elated when my first customer walked through the door. That was 15 years ago.  

Glamour Pooch has brought be a lot of joy, but there was still something missing. 

When I stumbled across Equine Wellbeing Coaching something deep inside me came to life. 

My personal healing journey taught me to listen to myself too. And what an eye-opening experience it has been. My life is much richer. Instead of constantly seeing gaps, now I see fulfilment and opportunities. 

Eventually taking the opportunity to train as a Certified Emotional Well-being Coach, I knew my true calling.

Now I am dedicated to creating positive change in peoples lives through personal coaching.

My Approach

As your wellbeing coach, we will work together to peel back the layers of ‘should’ and ‘must’, replacing them with daily actions that are rooted in your deepest values. Values you might currently be ignoring because your inner voice is lost. 

My role is to put YOU at the centre of our conversations. I will hold space for YOU and guide you towards self-discovery. YOU are the expert of your life, and with my help we will work together towards regaining control.   

I don’t offer quick fixes. I believe wellbeing is a journey. To truly heal you need time. Time to understand your present and discover what’s holding you back. Time to learn new techniques that can bring you a brighter tomorrow. And time to practise and implement them. I do this through multi-chapter self-discovery sessions that will help you discover the connection between your mind and body. 

We will delve into emotional healing, wellbeing, stress management, nervous system regulation, mindfulness, meditation and so much more. 

This is YOUR transformational journey. And as your wellbeing coach, I will work with you, to create personalised wellbeing plans that suit your unique lifestyle.

  • I am trauma informed and use NLP, PACE, Person-centred approach but most of all I have life experience and the compassion to guide you through your own journey.
